ASU Foundation – SolarSPELL

What is SolarSPELL?
SolarSPELL (Solar-Powered Educational Learning Library) is a rugged, portable digital library powered by the sun. Designed to bring high-quality educational content to remote and offline communities around the globe, each unit creates a Wi-Fi hotspot filled with curated, locally relevant materials. Learners can access videos, textbooks, health resources, and more without needing electricity or internet.
Deployed in over 20 countries and used in partnerships with organizations like Peace Corps and UNICEF, SolarSPELL provides a scalable solution to one of the world’s most persistent challenges: educational access.
